Distributed ledger tech provider Ripple has added ex-U.S. Treasurer Rosie Rios to its board of directors.

In his statement, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse claims that she provides "an invaluable perspective" to his company:

Rosie’s experience in the public and private sectors provides an invaluable perspective to Ripple, especially during this time as the industry works to define crypto’s future.

Rios will replace SBI Holdings CEO Yoshitaka Kitao who quietly left the board of directors in March.

On top of that, Ripple has hired fintech vet Kristina Campbell, who has assumed the role of the company's chief financial officer. She will be responsible for driving the company's growth on a global scale. Prior to joining Ripple, Campbell had the same role at  billing and payments platform PayNearMe.
