“NFT community are you ready? Megafono Together with @belvederemuseum we are launching “THE KISS” NFT Drop by Gustav Klimt. Sign up for whitelisting now to get a chance to buy your #NFT on Valentines Day https://thekiss.art“.

Basically, it’s a high-resolution digital copy of the painting that will be divided into a 100 x 100 grid, resulting in 10,000 individual pieces that will be offered as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

And indeed, with a whitelist that started yesterday, 25 January, interested parties can register to purchase a piece from the NFT collection on thekiss.art’s platform. Only starting on 9 February, buyers will receive permission to purchase NFT mint of a piece of Klimt’s digital Kiss, paying in ETH, credit card or via EPS online payment.

By Valentine’s Day, 14 February, all 10,000 NFTs of the work will be awarded to new owners.

The drop on thekiss.art platform

Farbod Sadeghian, founder of artèQ commented on the project and introduced the new initiative linked to the metaverse, as follows:

“We are proud that artèQ’s innovative technology and concept was chosen for the implementation of this globally unique project and that we were allowed to become a partner of the project. We look forward to the creation of our own metaverse gallery, metaQ, where we users will be able to view and purchase a range of fine art NFT, for which TheKiss is a worthy curtain raiser”.

On thekiss.art platform, purchasers of the work’s 10,000 NFTs will also be able to include an individual love dedication that will be viewable on the site from 14 February.

Belvedere General Manager Stella Rollig also commented on the project:

“What does it mean to own a work of art in the digital age? The rise of NFTs, which has preoccupied the art world since 2020, has given fresh impetus to this intriguing question. The conversion of digital reproductions into virtual originals opens up new forms of participation, which, in financial terms, should be taken seriously, yet can also be viewed playfully”.

thekiss.art and NFT Bunny are new platforms for NFT minting

Platforms to mint NFT Art

Just as the world-renowned work TheKiss at Vienna’s Belvedere Museum chose thekiss.art platform for minting, there’s a new, highly competitive platform coming soon that leverages the three blockchains of Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon: NFT Bunny.

In the middle of last month, Dondè Art Gallery, which collects the creations of Maestro Daniele Dondè and his grandson Boris Dondè, made official the choice of NFT Bunny as the platform for minting its first NFT Art.

The launch of NFT Bunny is scheduled for 31 January, with the aim of becoming the first NFT social marketplace.
