Tomochain Integrates NFT Authenticity and Storage Protocols with Pastel Network Partnership

Tomochain, a layer 1 blockchain operating through a proof-of-stake consensus, has teamed with purpose-built NFT blockchain and platform Pastel Network to enhance its storage and authenticity capabilities for users in the NFT ecosystem.

Since 2018, the Pastel Network has diligently developed sophisticated technology aimed at identifying and solving major problems in the NFT and blockchain space: two in particular, digital asset authenticity and NFT storage constraints. The first of these protocols, Sense, is a near-duplicate NFT detection system that assesses the rarity of a given NFT against other NFTs across various marketplaces and ecosystems. Designed to protect users participating in these increasingly popular platforms, the Sense protocol is an important and unique tool in guarding against scams, fraud, and copyright infringement.

Inadequate storage solutions add to the woes of users on NFT marketplaces as they have led to the disappearance of digital assets. Pastel’s Cascade protocol offers a permanent, redundant storage solution that distributes NFT data in chunks across different nodes in the system. This means that even if a majority of the network’s Supernodes do go down, NFTs will be fully recoverable. Furthermore, Cascade is a pay-once and store-forever model, so users do not need to worry about ongoing maintenance.

“The partnership with Pastel Network is a welcoming one, as it aligns greatly with our development value at TomoChain. Not only that, this integration with Pastel Network will also provide a rich layer for users to have a deeper understanding of ownership, value, and scarcity, especially within the NFT Space,” said Long Vuong, Founder and CEO of TomoChain. “We are excited to see this collaborative effort take off in the near future.”

TomoChain has developed an NFT token standard – TRC721 – on the TomoChain network, expanding the possibilities for NFT platforms. One of these platforms built on the TomoChain blockchain is Pantograph, which allows users to digitize audio, video, and still images into NFTs, create NFTs without coding, buy, sell and auction NFTs, create communities on the platform, trade NFTs, and manage NFT assets. Through TomoChain’s integration with Pastel, platforms built on the former will be able to leverage Pastel’s Sense and Cascade protocols to provide native storage and the duplicate-detection verification system to their users.

“TomoChain provides robust NFT infrastructure, encouraging developers to take advantage of their versatility and adaptability” said Anthony Georgiades, Co-Founder of Pastel. “Pastel is eager to collaborate with TomoChain to provide all NFT projects housed in the ecosystem to take advantage of our unique protocols, crucial to the long term sustainability and success of the NFT space.”
