EOS: suspicious transactions from exchanges

Yesterday, several million dollar transactions took place on the Binance and Huobi exchanges, which moved a total of 16 million EOS, or over 40 million dollars.

As far as Huobi is concerned, we see that there were two transactions, but of a practically identical amount, that is, 5 million each not put into stake.

Then, if we analyze instead the movements of Binance, we see that there were 4 transactions in total:

  • Binancestakl, 3 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount;
  • Binancestakp, 1 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount;
  • Binancestakn, 1 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount;
  • Binancestako, 1 million EOS, with CPU stake of the same amount.

Strangely enough, all of these accounts have voted for unknown proxies and created for the occasion, as only they are among those who follow these proxies. These proxies do not provide any information at the moment.

Going deeper into the nomenclature of the above mentioned accounts we see what we find:

  • Binancestaka, 3 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binancevote1;
  • Binancestakb, 3 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binancevote2;
  • Binancestakc, 2.5 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote was proxed to binancevote3;
  • Binancestakd, 2 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binancevote4;
  • Binancestakf, 2 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binancevote5;
  • Binancestakg, 1.5 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. Rating has been proxed to binanceprxy1;
  • Binancestakh, 1.2 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed at binanceprxy2;
  • Binancestak1, 1.2 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binanceprxy3;
  • Binancestakj, 1 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binanceprxy4;
  • Binancestakkk, 1 million EOS, with CPU stakes of the same amount. The vote has been proxed to binanceprxy5,

If we add up all the transactions in EOS, these are well in excess of 20 million EOS and have all been blocked via various unknown proxies.

It’s hard to predict if there will be any more movements of these transactions in the future, but Binance certainly has enough votes to pick up some BP at will.

In fact, separating the vote as in this case, it’s difficult to understand who’s voting, also because with such a system one would be voting organically and inconspicuously.

Anyway, it certainly can’t be a coincidence that two exchanges moved millions of EOS on the same day, so it’s likely that there’s some kind of coordination for some project that hasn’t been revealed yet.
