There are all kinds of exciting things taking place in the crypto space. These days were full of hype as Bitcoin was able to reach new ATHs.
Now, it’s been revealed that the waitlist for Robinhood’s recently announced crypto wallet now has more than one million customers, the company’s CEO recently stated.
Crypto’s growing importance to Robinhood app
This is demonstrating cryptos’ increasing importance to the trading app.
“We’re very proud of our cryptocurrency platform and giving people more utility with the coins they have,” Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said during CNBC’s Disruptor 50 summit on Thursday.
“We rolled out our wallets waitlist. A lot of people have been asking for the ability to send and receive cryptocurrencies, transfer them to hardware wallets, transfer them onto the platform to consolidate and the crypo wallets waitlist is well over a million people now.”
You may recall that last month, Robinhood announced it was testing a crypto wallet feature.
Just in case you don’t know, the wallet will allow investors to trade, send and receive digital currencies. It will also allow moving them in and out of the app.
Robinhood currently offers seven digital coins, including BTC, LTC, and ETH.
“You can have a wallet, you can send people cryptocurrencies from that wallet to their wallet,” Tenev said.
He continued and explained:
“There’s certain advantages that are in the technology that make it kind of global and accessible by default and that makes it very interesting.”
Other than this, there are all kinds og=f bullish moves that are taking place in the crypto space.
Ethereum is another crypto asset that is about to explode. There are all kinds of optimistic crypto predictions about the digital assets and Ethereum is one of them.
The online publication the Daily Hodl notes that the popular crypto analyst Justin Bennett thinks Ethereum (ETH) is gearing up for another major rally that could take the coin by nearly 400%.
