At the beginning of the year, Robinhood Markets, a Silicon Valley-based stock trading app company, announced that Robinhood Crypto received the BitLicense and a money transmitter license to operate in New York.
Now, as of today, New Yorkers can officially buy cryptocurrencies on Robinhood Crypto.
Currently, users can invest in seven cryptocurrencies on Robinhood Crypto: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.
With New York, Robinhood Crypto is now available in 39 states, including Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
