Canadian mortgage brokerage firm Matrix Mortgage Global has revealed that it now accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Bitcoin Cash. The mortgage brokerage firm is the latest firm to introduce BTC, ETH, XRP, and BCH payments. Established in 2008, Matrix Mortgage Global allows consumers to receive financing on housing that has carried out over $1.5 billion in mortgage originations. After its inception, the company has “championed alternative lending,” and its latest decision can be known as another step in that direction.

Entering into a partnership with the U.S.-based crypto service provider BitPay, Matrix Mortgage Global, will allow all consumers to pay for goods and services with some of the most well-known cryptocurrencies. It involves Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Ethereum, and several dollar-pegged stablecoins. Nevertheless, the report didn’t reveal which stablecoins the firm will implement. The acceptance of digital assets intends to expand the company into international markets where accepting credit cards is not feasible.

Matrix Mortgage Global’s Initiative Relates with Canada Revenue Agency’s Views

Moreover, the addition of the popular digital assets will enhance payment transparency, speed, efficiency. Moreover, it will also decrease high fees. It is worth noting that Matrix Mortgage Global’s initiative operates in line with the Canada Revenue Agency’s views. It asserts that crypto-assets “can be used to pay for goods and services and shall be treated as a barter transaction.” Matrix Mortgage Global’s inception of crypto payments occurs amid a developing trend amongst other companies to do the same. Reasonably the most well-known name for doing so following the start of the year is Elon Musk’s Tesla. Following a huge Bitcoin purchase, Tesla advocated that it would enable bitcoin payments for its cars.

The United States has been leading this trend, including some of the nation’s most famous sports leagues. The NBA (National Basketball Association) has around two representatives that accept crypto payments. The Sacramento Kings have been accepting crypto since 2014.The club’s chief said that all employees could commence receiving as much of their salaries they like in Bitcoin. However, the Dallas Mavericks went in another direction and authorized merchandise and ticket payments with the famous meme coin, Dogecoin.
