Prominent crypto trader Scott Melker has suddenly recalled that he made a deposit on a Cybertruck, the vehicle that turned into multiple memes in November of last year.

Bitcoin trader pre-orders a post-apocalyptic car

Scott Melker is expecting to receive the futuristic car from Tesla in 2022 and says that it is a long time to wait.

Some in the comment thread also mentioned ordering a Cybertruck. One of the followers made a sarcastic comment that now is the best time to spend money on such vehicles.

The price of the truck varies from $39,900 to $69,000 with the choice of adding extra features, including making the truck fully self-driving.

Is a Cybertruck safer than Bitcoin?

Many economists are arguing whether Bitcoin or gold is the best safe haven in the current economic conditions.

However, looking at Scott Melker and others who are pre-ordering Cybertrucks, made of cold-roll steel, self-driving and bearing solar panels on the roof, you may start thinking that these people know something about the possible aftermath of the current financial crisis and the pandemic that nobody else does.

Speaking of potential hard times in the future, back in January 2018, Elon Musk managed to sell 20,000 flamethrowers in less than a week. In his tweet, he made a joke that these fire guns could be useful when the zombie apocalypse occurs.

‘Even 3% smaller is too small’

According to the Cybertruck website, production will start in late 2021 and people can currently preorder the vehicle with a post-apocalyptic design.

Recently, answering a question about the future size of the truck, Elon Musk tweeted that it will hardly be smaller than announced.
