Autonomous Worlds, the company behind the Xaya blockchain gaming platform has made a strategic partnership with Polygon. Thanks to the partnership, users will now be able to play real-time decentralized games on the Polygon blockchain.

Xaya is Adding Decentralized Gaming to Polygon

Xaya is set to add decentralized gaming to Polygon’s Ethereum sidechain as a part of the partnership between Polygon and Autonomous Worlds, a blockchain development and consultancy firm that founded Xaya.

Autonomous Worlds will now develop video games in-house for the Polygon platform, including adding its current collection of premier blockchain video games.

With excessive gas fees, slow speed, and lack of scalability driving out major blockchain video games out of the Ethereum network, the latest deal will re-introduce affordable and scalable gaming in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Commenting on the integration, Xaya Co-Founder Andy Colosim, said:

“We are excited to bring our vision of deep economics and complex gameplay to the Polygon blockchain. Following the growth of DeFi and NFTs, we believe blockchain gaming will be the next big opportunity to take blockchain mass market. Our partnership with Polygon will only accelerate that trend.”

Xaya’s CHI token is Also Deployed on Polygon

Now, Xaya will be able to leverage Polygon’s wide reach and user base while Polygon users will be able to access top-blockchain games on Xaya.

As part of the integration, Xaya’s native CHI token has also been deployed on Polygon as Wrapped CHI.

Co-Founder of Polygon, Sandeep Nailwal remarks on the partnership:

“We’re certain the combination of Polygon’s high-performance blockchain and Xaya’s experience in the field of decentralized games will result in fascinating new experiences to further boost this quickly evolving sector.”

Xaya is a blockchain-agnostic L2 network that provides a highly scalable environment for blockchain games with decentralized, secured and censorship-resistant games. The group behind Xaya had previously created the world’s first blockchain gaming experiment in 2013 called Huntercoin.

Meanwhile, Polygon (formerly Matic) has now over 50,000 daily active addresses and is handling more than 6 million transactions per day. Some of the most popular apps deployed on Polygon includes QuickSwap, SushiSwap. and Aave.
