Web3 application blockchain data ecosystem Pocket Network is integrating Solana (SOL/USD) into its network, Invezz learned from a press release.

More than 3000 node runners of Pocket Network’s globally distributed network of nearly 6500 nodes – just under half – are supporting Solana Remote Procedure Call (RPC) requests, ensuring an optimal user experience and significantly scaling up Solana.

Solana users can tap into node array immediately.

Decentralized apps and users of Solana will be able to tap into Pocket Network’s node array at once. By minting an RPC endpoint, users will contribute to Solana’s decentralization while helping improve the cryptocurrency’s security.

Service downtime risk drops to zero

The integration minimizes the risk of service downtime as thousands of nodes support the work, protecting user privacy. Developers and apps will limit RPC access costs because they won’t have to pay a monthly flat rate, only stake once for the same bandwidth.

Michael O’Rourke, CEO of Pocket Network said:

Solana has become a popular choice amongst DeFi users and NFT collectors who are minting and purchasing NFTs on the network. During periods of exponential growth, any network can find itself bogged down if left unchecked. With Pocket Network’s unstoppable RPC protocol and ever-growing conglomerate of node runners, we are migrating this risk. By integrating Solana into our network, we are aiming to make the user experience as smooth as possible on the blockchain. So even as Solana expands, it will remain operational while providing a quality service and protecting users’ privacy.

Pocket’s support for Solana will be improving constantly

Pocket’s support for Solana will become more and more redundant and reliable because node runners will have a permanent incentive to optimize any additional Solana nodes needed, provided by the full-node rewards (POKT) that power Pocket’s protocol.

Pocket Network services Polygon (MATIC/USD), Ethereum (ETH/USD), Fuse, and other major blockchain networks in line with their mission to create a sustainable multichain future.

Impressive partner list

Among Pocket Network’s impressive list of network participants are CMS Holdings, LD Capital, Rivet, Skillz, Chainflow, and DAOs such as Metacartel Ventures.
