The recent collaboration of the Gluwa wallet and Aella’s consumer credit app is already showing good results. According to reports, since the integration last June, it has already seen over a million transactions brought onto the blockchain.
Gluwa’s Founder and CEO, Tae Oh, said that,
To have reached this milestone so quickly is enormously gratifying for both the Gluwa team and, I’m sure, our counterparts at Aella. 1,000,000 transactions in less than three months [are] tremendously encouraging and it highlights the broad benefits of an API integration that allows all transactions conducted through the Aella app. The figures also highlight the growing prevalence of stablecoin usage in Africa.
Gluwa is a borderless financial platform. It combines decentralized infrastructure and global investment opportunities, as well as help users manage their finances. It has its own ERC-20 token Gluwacoin, which is pegged 1:1 with fiat currencies. On the other hand, Aella is a lending platform for unbanked and underbanked individuals in emerging markets.
More so, the two only collaborated four years ago and the integration of their respective wallets only happened last June. However, as seen in the Aella app which serves two million customers across Africa, the transactions from the two already reached their first million.

Furthermore, all the transactional activities like investments and remittances on Aella wallet are transparently added to Gluwa’s Luniverse Sidechain. At the time of writing, Luniverse already facilitated over 1,000,000 transactions with 28 million blocks produced.
