Total Hash Rate reaches a New All-Time High (ATH) and increases the security of the Bitcoin network.
There seems to be real interest in the Bitcoin network and the number of miners is increasing. The best indicator is the hash rate, and when the value is higher that signs lot of machines running on this network. For a Bitcoin network, this is always a good sign because it increases security, and if someone wanted to attack the network they would need at least 51% of all the hashrate in the world and it is almost impossible.
One of the main factors is an increased influx of investment from large companies. We just recently wrote about Horizon Kinetics – a $ 5.3 Billion Hedge Fund that is investing more and more in bitcoin mining and has bought 17,000 last-generation miners from Bitmain. Yesterday we also informed about Fidelity Investments and their purchase of shares in the Canadian mining company.
