Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, a globally known electric car manufacturing company, and also the founder of SpaceX has just dropped a comment on Bitcoin after a very very long time, revealing his position on the cryptocurrency.

Elon Musk in a tweet said:

“Bitcoin is “not” Safe My Word.”

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, a globally known electric car manufacturing company, has always been reserved regarding his opinion about Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency as a whole. It’s always said that his support is for the one and only meme coin, Dogecoin (DOGE).

What Does Elon Musk’s Trending Tweet Denote?

The Tesla and Space X founder Elon Musk made the tweet a few minutes ago. As ever expected, the tweet has been greeted with tons of mixed reactions from his teeming followers, especially the cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Some said he was speaking in irony, while others claimed otherwise.

Obviously, the tweet sounded like a negative body language for Bitcoin. Saying the cryptocurrency is not is safe word would likely mean a word he does not like talking about.

Many crypto enthusiasts have longed for his stance regarding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Not limited to the opinion of Elon Musk, but other notable business tycoons and billionaires around the world.

Since every crypto enthusiast understands how far their positive thoughts and opinions about cryptocurrency as a whole could aid the betterment of the crypto environment due to the large numbers of believers they have in their circles.

The impact of this comment could stamp on the market value of Bitcoin is not ascertained, but going by the comments that have since trailed the tweet, there is a possibility for a notable impact on BTC price.

Elon Musk Was Former Dogecoin CEO

Elon Musk, formerly accepted to be the CEO of Dogecoin, a meme coin dumped by its creators. Elon wrote CEO of Dogecoin on his Twitter profile, indicating that he accepted the wish of the cryptocurrency community to spearhead the project.

“Dogecoin might be my fav cryptocurrency. It’s pretty cool,” Musk tweeted at that time. The unexpected comment shortly after the entrepreneur called Bitcoin a “brilliant”project.

Elon Musk responded to an an April Fool’s Day poll initiated by the official Dogecoin Twitter handle demanding that the community vote on who should be the project’s next CEO after it was deserted by the founder of Elon Musk took the lead with around 54 percent.

Then, the official Dogecoin account posted, “Looks like you’re the CEO now @elonmusk, DM us where to email the access codes :-D”

The CEO of Tesla responded to the tweets, declaring support for the meme digital currency.

“Dogecoin rulz,” he said at some point.

Elon Musk’s influence on Dogecoin made the founder of Dogecoin, Jackson Palmer, who already pulled out of the project to want to sell Dogecoin.com for $4.2 billion.
