American rapper, songwriter, and music producer Trevor Smith Jr., popularly known as Busta Rhymes, has recently joined the rapidly growing number of people holding bitcoin.

The rapper revealed in a tweet that he had been fully convinced to join the bitcoin bandwagon after watching the discussion between Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk, and Cathie Wood.

After watching the #Bitcoin conference live with @jack @elonmusk @CathieDWood i’m sold on Bitcoin.

The event in question was the B Word online live conference featuring Twitter’s CEO, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, and the CEO of ARK Investments, which took place yesterday.

According to Busta Rhymes, he was so impressed seeing these influential personalities making use of bitcoin and speaking so highly of it and felt that it resonated with him.

When you have brilliant minds coming together through an unfiltered source. I like that. Speaks directly to me. They all are using it and more importantly holding it.

Although the rapper did not go into detail about the exact amount of bitcoin he purchased and is currently holding, he revealed that he will be looking into ETH next.

Interestingly, Busta Rhymes had become very interested in the crypto industry. Just last week, he repeatedly tweeted about crypto-related issues and even engaged with the former American boxer, Mike Tyson, concerning his venture into the crypto space.

Now, less than two weeks after publicly expressing his interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, Busta Rhymes has decided to become a bitcoin holder.

Tesla to Resume Accepting Bitcoin

Earlier in May, the cryptocurrency industry suffered a major hit when electric car company Tesla decided it would no longer accept Bitcoin payments because of energy concerns.

The market lost over $2 billion within a couple of hours, as many investors quickly liquidated their positions.

However, during the B-Word conference yesterday, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, mentioned that the company will “certainly” resume accepting bitcoin payments in the future, considering that bitcoin miners are shifting to renewable energy mining.
