XRP Forensics Is Now Targeting Scammers of XRP Giveaway

From the latest, the XRP Forensics is maintaining a constant eye on the movements of large XRP amounts, to help authentic users to recover their thieved coins. XRP Forensics has shared some recent statistics about the same, on Twitter handle @XRP Forensics (xrplorer.com).

Scammers Move Over 2.5 Million XRP to Digital Exchanges

The data claimed by XRP Forensics underlines the fact that these coins were ‘stolen’ in the form of giveaway schemes that popped up in December 2020. Some of those giveaway schemes were reported to start even a year earlier. The stolen coins are reported to shift into the digital exchanges namely Kraken and KuCoin. 

The official tweet from the XRP forensics reads

2.5M+ XRP from giveaway scams has been moved in smaller batches during the last month, mainly to exchanges Kraken and KuCoin. According to our data, these XRP were taken in scams promoted from December 2020 and onwards, but with some as early as December 2019.

According to the data records, there are over 3.6 million XRP stolen in the crypto scam offers. The scam took place via multiple websites that use false tricks to attract investor’s attention. 

KuCoin Support Team Deal with XRP Forensics

As per the company’s assessment, the approximate count of investors that are being scammed out of their XRP is 460. This number includes investors of the crypto exchanges namely Bitstamp, Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, and many others.

The KuCoin support team on Monday communicated with the XRP Forensics support team. The official tweet reads:

In return, the company promised the XRP forensic to issue a full overview of the funds stolen in the scams online, soon enough.

According to XRP Forensics, 

fraudsters have been sending the stolen XRP mainly to Kraken, KuCoin, and Binance.”
