Portsmouth International Port has adopted the VeChain-powered DNV GL My Care solution, becoming the first port to do so in the whole of the United Kingdom.

Ports and shipping lines are adopting the VeChain-dependent My Care for assessment of infection risk protocol, thereby confirming and assuring passengers of a robust infection risk control protocol in their vicinity.

The infection risk control system put in place by the port encompass the terminal building, security control, car search bay, shuttle buses, passenger boarding bridge, and public gardens, DNV GL has said in a statement.

The adoption of My Care, according to Portsmouth International Port’s passenger operations manager, Andrew Williamson, is to assure passengers that strict, standard, and necessary infection control measures have been taken to guard them against contracting any form of infection within the Port’s vicinity.

Verification with My Care showcases “further reassurance about the efforts” put in place by the port.

The VeChain-powered My Care™ solution is a hospital-grade infection risk management protocol that depends solely on DNV GL’s healthcare standards, risk management’s best practices, HSE and quality management systems, and maturity safety rating standards.

My Care Solution stores data from the verification processes on VeChain blockchain and the data can be viewed by just scanning the QR code made available for the verification processes. Storing the data, VeChain offers a transparent and immutable technology that help guaranty the assurance of data.

World’s businesses are employing the service of the VeChain-based solution to battle the COVID-19 pandemic that has halted the world economy.

The solution was earlier adopted by the third-largest producer of pasta in the world, De Cecco. The firm said it selected the DNV GL’s My Care solution to assure the safety of its employees and operators.

The company was the first Italy-based food processing firm to adopt the infection risk and prevention blockchain-based solution.

A steel manufacturing firm ArcelorMittal also adopted the solution in its UK Mayfair office to manage the risk of contracting an infection.

Also, ITC Limited Group, owner of the Indian third largest hotel chain, with more than a hundred hotels, deployed the solution in all its hotels to show customers its infection risk management framework.

My Care has been described a robust solution that came in handy at a time the world is battling the lasting pandemic.

Beyond My Care, several VeChain solutions have been deployed for use globally. The VeChain ToolChain, for example, has wide patronage from the businesses requiring a state of the art traceability solution.

Companies like Walmart China, Deloitte, and some others make use of VeChain and deploy it for their clients.
