Popov emphasized that the release of GoShimmer is scheduled for the end of June. He described that numerous new features are included in the new GoShimmer version to mark an important milestone for Coordicide.

According to Popov, the IOTA team considers the release of GoShimmer as a significant milestone, because it will be the software to support conflict resolution and value transaction with other updates such as UTXO, different transaction layout, support for parallel-reality among others.

Popov and his team had recently completed an API which was designed for providing value transactions and retrieving balance of particular addresses to form the core of a new “very simple” wallet.

Popov states that the research team is gradually shifting focus from unit and integration testing to writing results and researching of best parameters as the specification nears completion.

He further disclosed that with the mind of shifting focus, the team had published two new papers on Mana and FPC is scheduled to be presented at the Futures Technologies Conference (FTC2020) in Vancouver, Canada, on the 5th and 6th of November.
