The VeChain Foundation has launched a 3 million VET video contests in its bid to kickstart the VeChain 2 years anniversary as the blockchain platform is gaining wide adoption across the world.

June 30, 2018, the VeChain Foundation announced the launch of the VeCHainThor Blockchain after it successfully mined the first block at around 08:00:09, signaling the official launch of the blockchain.

During this period, VeChain promised to grow as the community develops and so, launched different subsidies, grants, and assistance for developers aiming to help in expanding the ecosystem.

At the start of the first year, January 2018, VeChain launched the VeChainThor maiden Community Video Contest purposely to make the world aware of the beautiful effort put in place by VeChain in partnership with the community.

VeChain says it is using the same zeal to celebrate the second-year anniversary of VeChainThor Mainnet by launching the VeChain Community Contest 2020. This again reconfirms the enthusiasm of the VeChain Foundation towards synergizing with the community.

Participants have the chance to win from the whopping 3 million VET set aside for the anniversary.

The foundation craves for a video of 10 mins length. It accepts any language; however, it must be captioned in English and must be G-rated.

Participants must adhere strictly to the topic suggested in the statement released by the VeChain Foundation.

VeChain’s ToolChain Receives Series of Adoption

VeChain’s Traceability solution, ToolChain, is gaining wide prominence. Lately, innovation through Walmart China added one of its offshoots, Sam’s Club to the streams of firms making use of VeChain for traceability.

This comes almost a year after PwC, Walmart China partnered VeChain to launch the Walmart China Blockchain Traceability Platform.

The progress was followed by the inclusion of Sam’s Club China on the VeChain traceability solution, with the creation of a separate platform for Sam’s Club branded Sam’s Club Blockchain Traceability Platform. Sam’s Club is an exclusive shopping chain designed to be a membership-only chain.

With 26 outlets in China and still growing, Sam’s Club is hoping to have around 45 clubs under its management by 2022, with each outlet covering over 200,000 square meters.

Sam’s Club serves over 2.8 million members in China alone and so decided to attach a traceability solution to its goods to confirm their uniqueness and authenticity.

The news was succeeded by a partnership from ICAB La Fiammante, an over 70-year-old Italian food brand. The food brand adopted My Story™, a VeChain’s traceability solution developed in collaboration with DNV GL.

My Story™ was designed in 2018 with VeChain and has been seeing different adoptions. Norway in a Box also partnered with DNV GL on this same product.

In a separate development, Meijiada food company, a chain of stores selling fresh vegetables and meats also adopted VeChain’s Toolchain to service over 12 million people in Shenzhen metropolis.
