The CEO of the Input and Output HK, Charles Hoskinson, has just thrown a jab at Ethereum network, making mockery of the world’s second largest cryptocurrency.
Hoskinson said Cardano would not be like Ethereum as it launches its Shelley testnet, instead the blockchain network would be a global standard used by all nations.
Hoskinson reiterated that the month of May would be very busy for Cardano blockchain network considering that the blockchain network’s Friends and Family Testnet would be rolled out on May 11th.
He further hinted that public testnet is around the corner, saying that “Shelley…smells like victory.”

In a YouTube update on the launch of Shelley testnet, the CEO explained that the great works done by the Cardano team would let the blockchain network get huge confidence as its launches the testnet.
Lampooning Ethereum for two other projects that emerged from it, Hoskinson said Cardano Cash or Cardano Classic would not be created.
“Not are we only here to stay, we are not going to see stuffs like Cardano Cash or Cardano Classic. Rather, we going to become the global standard that all nations use and people use for their projects.”
Hoskinson hinted on the potency of Cardano blockchain, revealing that people who would be using Cardano for their projects know that they are building on granite.
Describing Cardano in the video, the Ethereum cofounder said the blockchain platform allows many business models and has different actors, and would help build the future economy of many nations.
He said the upcoming testnets are about Cardano demonstrating its capacity as a whole community.
“Capacity to converge to sensible answers about parameterizations that allow us to get to the next level.”
He related that achieving this would help Cardano set the tone on how it does things moving forward, as well as set tone for the entire cryptocurrency space on how Cardano blockchain solves its problems as a community.
Hoskinson stressed that next week would be busy for Cardano and weeks after this month would also be busy.
Earlier in a previous video update, Hoskinson said he cares less about the growth of Ethereum in the market.
