Cardano recently upgraded its plumbing method with the latest consensus layer scaling solution, pipelining. It will be a major part of Cardano’s scaling plan in 2022 to assist the ever-growing Cardano ecosystem.

With Cardano entering the Basho development phase, the network is focusing on meeting the growing market needs. Thus, the Cardano team is working on its Ouroboros Praos, maintaining its speed of dApps lining up or deploying on Cardano. Cardano has a lot going for it, and its price is responding to it. Many individuals who are familiar with the world of digital currencies and tokens believe that ADA-USD is the future of the industry. According to Cardano projections, ADA will eventually compete with and eventually replace larger cryptos such as ETH and BTC.

The network will be steadily optimized in a series of measured steps, methodically and carefully scaling Cardano for upcoming growth as the demand surges. The modifications released in the network’s 1.33.0 node provided Cardano a headroom to advance some network parameters.

Network parameters like memory units and block size could be modified. The modifications have a direct bearing on how Cardano maintains network traffic while monitoring network performance. In addition, Cardano’s close observation of Ouroboros Praos’ real-world performance and its accumulated impact of parameters will play a crucial role across the procedure.

After every update, the network carefully assesses and monitors at least one epoch before going on with additional adjustments. Diffusion pipelining will act as the evolution for the consensus layer that enables quicker block propagation. It will facilitate even greater gains in headroom, enabling additional upgrades to the network’s competitiveness and performance.

The integration will enhance the block addition protocol, which currently moves like this:

  • Block transmission
  • Blick validation
  • Block body transmission and request
  • Block header transmission
  • Block body transmission

While this systematic sequence has worked for several years, the increasing number of blocks hinder the system. That’s why the diffusion pipeline will conduct the steps subsequently, saving time while increasing outputs.
