Q-Wallet Update: Itinerary Check

QLC Chain recently updated its Q-Wallet, which included general bug fixes, an improvement to the discounted group recharge module, and the integration of an itinerary check. QLC Chain claims to have implemented the itinerary check function to “contain the continual global spread of the deadly [COVID-19] virus.”

As new coronavirus infections continue to increase across the globe, travelers face the potential of having their itineraries inspected by border officials to verify if travelers are coming from (or going to) areas with confirmed outbreaks.

QLC Chain has implemented its itinerary check function for China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom users to “track the movement of subscribers and share trusted travel records without disclosing any private data.” QLC Chain claims to do so by verifying the user’s travel itineraryand recording it on QLC Chain with a trusted certificate issued via the operator’s SMS.

Looking forward, QLC Chain intends to integrate itinerary check support for more international mobile operators and other service sectors.
