IOTA foundation is using this yuletide season to jump into a new development phase as the non-profit foundation unleashes its ammunition from its arsenal in pieces.

Just hours after the declaration of the official release of Trinity wallet for Android users, IOTA said it has designed a proposal for a decentralized multi-party computation algorithm.

While RSA is one of the first public-key encryption systems, IOTA aims at using the proposed computation algorithm to ensure efficient generation of the RSA modulus.

RSA was one of the first public-key cryptosystems and is still widely used for secure #data transmission. We designed a proposal for a decentralized multi-party computation algorithm able to efficiently generate the #RSA modulus. Read about it at https://t.co/m3u5gTNRVm#IOTA

According to IOTA, rather than the existing algorithms which are computationally expensive or restricted to only two-party settings, the latest design offers a multi-party computation algorithm.

WithOTA RSA, the IOTA network presents users with a more secure system due to the “difficulty of the integer factorization of the public modulus.”

The new computational algorithm is designed to generate two unique prime random numbers ‘p’ and ‘q’ of the same order.

IOTA Trinity Wallet 1.2.1 out for Android users

Android users of IOTA cryptocurrency can now enjoy the latest IOTA Trinity Wallet 1.2.1 as IOTA proclaims the release on Boxing Day.

On December 14, IOTA noted that the Trinity 1.2.1 wallet is now made available for android users.

The upgraded wallet, according to IOTA, offers a 2-3x speedup of Proof of Work. Also, various minor issues in the previous version of the wallet have been fixed in the new update.

However, IOTA noted that the iOS version of the wallet is yet to go live. The foundation, while urging users of iPhone to remain patience, said it would be out as soon as Apple is back from holiday.
