SBI Holdings, a Japan-based consortium, is considering paying its shareholder dividends in XRP, taking after MorningStar, which started since the beginning of 2019.

As reported, SBI CEO Yoshitaka Kitao made known that the firm is ruminating on the action while also weighing the future prospects of such action.

The idea is to begin as early as March 2020, however, it is an opt-in decision based on the acceptance of shareholders.

MorningStar also offered 30 XRP to its shareholders who have a minimum of 100 shares by the end of September.

The decision to introduce XRP dividends increased the number of applicants requesting to join SBI VC Trade, Kitao stated at some point.
