Bitcoin Cash’s major proponent, Roger Ver, spoke about recent developments and adoption drives in the crypto-ecosystem, in a recent interview with Robert Beadles.

Ver spoke about BitPay, which has been going head first into crypto-adoptions after enabling cryptocurrency payments in a myriad of sections, including, jewelry, entertainment, gaming, fashion, charities etc.

“Bitpay has more than a hundred thousand websites that they’ve enabled cryptocurrency payments and they’ve now launched a merchant directory where you can find a list of all of them there including all sorts of things like the Tony Hawk foundation.”

With BitPay, users can choose to pay to any of the approved merchants with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. Speaking about Bitcoin and how it takes a lot of time for Bitcoin transactions to be confirmed, especially during peak times, Ver said that Twitch had started accepting payments in Bitcoin [BTC] and Bitcoin Cash [BCH].

Bitcoin is known to have slower transaction settling times and massive fees, especially during the peak times, like the one witnessed during 2017 or during the top-off of the recent rally on Jun 26. However, there are other cryptocurrencies that can be used by users as a medium of transaction. Options include Bitcoin Cash, which is a fork of Bitcoin or XRP, which is the third largest cryptocurrency in the world and popular for its 5-second transaction settling time and micro-transactions.

The trend of tipping people with cryptocurrencies rose to prominence after XRP’s TipBot, and there have been several others since. “TipBitcoin.Cash” is another tipping app that allows users to tip Twitch streamers with Bitcoin Cash.

Ver stated,

“I haven’t tried that out myself but if you are gamer, add that to your streams because people typically love tipping crypto.”

The aforementioned app allows tipping without charging users a fee for tipping and is easily integrated into the Twitch platform, which has approximately 2.2 million monthly users and 15 million daily users.
