Trump chooses the new SEC commissioner

07 September 2017 21:00, UTC

Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, has offered Robert Jackson, the former Corporate Law and Policy director, senior advisor at Treasury and TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) member to take up the post of the commissioner for the powerful Securities and Exchange Commission, known to the cryptocurrency community for its attentiveness to the initial coin offerings.

Robert Jackson has graduated the University of Pennsylvania, has a finance MBA from Wharton School and studied in Harvard, where he also acquired two academic degrees – from the Kennedy School of Government and the university itself.

However unpredictable and spontaneous Donald Trump might seem, he is known for choosing good advisors now and then. Even the Democrats, usually outraged by any initiative of Mr. Trump, welcomed the appointment of experienced Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond McMaster to the post of the national security advisor. In this case, Trump once again demonstrated his skill to pick just the right man for the job.
