21 September 2017 21:00, UTC

The Russian State Duma (the country’s parliament) has announced a research contest on international experience connected to blockchain, cryptocurrency and ICOs. The contest terms require to study the policies of the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, France, Germany, Sweden, Japan and other states. An applicant must also assess all possible risks for economy.

The announcement contains promising words about the development of a set of measures aimed at prospective fintech “adaptation and soft integration into the Russian financial market”.

In other news from Russia, Anatoly Aksakov, the State Duma official and the chairman of the State Duma Financial Market Committee, told that he is not sure about Bitruble (the possible state cryptocurrency) that it will ever be created, especially considering the strict position of the Central Bank. This statement was in response to the words of Dmitry Marinichev, the Internet ombudsman, who told at the parliamentary session that the officials of the State Duma must try out cryptocurrency themselves, or else no adequate regulation would ever emerge.
