Speed and security: how Microsoft wants to improve blockchain technology

10 August 2017 21:00, UTC

The development of an innovative technology that will make blockchain systems swifter and less open to malefactors became known to public after Microsoft told about it in its blog. Coco Framework, a system that will unify different blockchain networks, is going to help to achieve this.

The unification of networks will lead to quicker engagement within the blockchain and improve privacy. The new platform is designed for deployment in the business practice.

Mark Russinovich, the CTO of Microsoft Azure, believes that blockchain in general and this system implementation in particular can potentially transform any kind of business.

The system will operate using the Ethereum cryptocurrency and blockchain, speeding up their work a hundred times more. Coco Framework is planned to be able to process 1,600 transactions per second. The release of this system is scheduled for 2018.
