Novogratz to invest in a token swap startup

16 October 2017 21:00, UTC

Michael Novogratz, one of the most ambitious and influential investors in digital assets, has chosen to invest in the interesting digital startup called AirSwap. The founders of AirSwap promise to create a mechanism that will allow to swap digital tokens. This happened at the beginning of this month, but it was not widely known until this week, CNBC reported on this.

Swapping digital tokens might come in handy for those market players who believe their tokens are not as good as they previously thought they are. Mike Novogratz will now have a say in the board of advisors of this project. Previously, this wealthy and experienced investor stated to the media that Bitcoin might be a bubble, but he stressed this doesn’t mean he and his colleagues would not try to gain profits from its growth. The board of advisors will also include one of the early cryptocurrency investors, Brock Pierce, who is also the founder of Blockchain Capital, and Ambassador Clifford Hart, formerly — U.S. consul general to Hong Kong.

"I think Novogratz is going to help bring institutional players into our platform,” stated the representative of AirSwap to CNBC in a telephone interview.
