Major British corporations massively deploy blockchain

31 July 2017 21:00, UTC

More than half of British corporations are either currently implementing blockchain in their business processes or assessing this option, tells Coindesk citing the report provided by Juniper Research with the data based on the interview of 400 company founders, directors and managers.

According to the results, 57% of surveyed companies are ready to implement blockchain in their business or evaluating possible risks. 66% of the firms which are already in the process of implementation are trying to launch blockchain in all current operations by the end of 2018.

The research notes, however, that many corporations underestimate the difficulties they might experience in the middle of implementation. The report describes that many respondents’ concerns started to multiply as the technology’s implementation progressed.

Windsor Holden, the author of the report, noted that the use of blockchain might become the reason of internal and external malfunctions, and therefore it is not always an optimal choice for companies. In some cases, the cheapest and the best solution might be the system update, not the technology upgrade.
