Nvidia: Worst Performer In The S&P 500 At The End Of 2018, Hasn’t Finished Selling Leftover Inventory From Crypto Boom (Invest In Blockchain)

One of the world’s largest chip manufacturers is going to get rid of the surplus in their warehouses in the first quarter of 2019. This was announced by the executive director of Nvidia Colette Kress. The reason why the unsold graphics cards had accumulated in the company's warehouses is a worldwide decline in the cryptomarket and, as a result, a decline in mining. Nvidia earlier expected that sales would continue. In the wake of the rush for mining equipment, Nvidia managed to make some good money, but now, as their CEO Jensen Huang, put it, everyone is experiencing a “crypto-hangover”.

Windows version of popular Wasabi BTC wallet has been duplicated by scammer (Chepicap)

Wasabi users should become more attentive security-wise, especially if they plan to install the wallet application for Windows. The fraudulent website appeared, where the download links to Wasabi apps are posted. And while links to MacOS and Linux versions lead to the real version of the program, clicking on the Windows application link will start the download of the potentially malicious program. Another interesting fact is that antiviruses do not react to the downloaded file at all, not seeing any danger. However, cases of fraud with the use of this Wasabi clone have not yet been reported. The fact of its occurrence cannot say that it certainly contains a virus. Perhaps the fraudsters are counting on selective scams and are just waiting for a “big fish”.

Chicago Mayor Says Crypto Adoption Could Be Inevitable (Forbes)

Rahm Emmanuel drew attention to the increasing attractiveness of digital assets in a geopolitically unstable world. The mayor believes that financial crises like those that Venezuela is experiencing now will eventually force people to abandon the traditional currencies for the sake of survival. So, according to Emmanuel, despite its volatility, Bitcoin has proved to be more reliable than many national currencies, which have depreciated tenfold for the same period of time. The head of Chicago emphatically does not claim exceptional competence in crypto, but it is worth noting that his city is slowly but surely becoming one of the largest cryptoрhubs in the United States.

Hacked Exchange Cryptopia Enables Trading in 40 Different Currency Pairs (Cryptoglobe)

The New Zealand Exchange, which recently faced serious security problems, is gradually getting back to normal. At the moment, support has been added for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin pairs, as reported by Cryptopia on March 18th. Of course, the resumption of the stock exchange is good news for many. However, judging by the reports on the network, not all users have yet regained access to their assets. So, one of the users complains about a frozen account with 1000 AKR (one of the most popular coins on Cryptopia). You may remember that the exchange recently suffered losses, which are estimated at several tens of millions of dollars, as a result of hacker attacks.
