A few weeks after China began suppressing bitcoin mining, new reports have confirmed speculation that some miners will try to move to the United States. According to the latest report, three tons of mining rigs will be transported from Guangzhou to Maryland.

The most populous country in the world tightened control over bitcoin mining in May this year, confirming the ban on working with bitcoins and other digital assets. The situation escalated when the government ordered some miners in several regions to shut down.

As expected, the bitcoin hash rate dropped almost immediately, especially after mining stopped this Sunday in Sichuan. Some experts saw this as an opportunity for the United States to attract displaced miners. A Chinese logistics firm in Guangzhou has confirmed that it will deliver three tons of bitcoin mining rigs to Maryland, USA, according to Eunice Yoon, a China bureau chief and senior correspondent with CNBC.
