REvil, a ransomware hacking group that brought the networks of at least 200 American companies to a halt. This occurred on Friday and they demand $70 million in bitcoin (BTC, -2.73 %).
Ransomware Distributed Through Cloud
REvil had targeted Software supplier Kaseya as REvil’s first target. Subsequently, using the network-management package, they distributed the ransomware through the cloud, according to Australia’s ABC News on Saturday. Various reports state that there are over infected 1 million machines.
Dark Web Reports

The Dread Of Ransom
The ransomware gang located in Russia is now seeking bitcoin in exchange for a decrypter for compromised machines.
REvil attacked Colonial Pipeline in May and succeeded in collecting a $5 million ransom from the firm. After its curtailed functioning and services this happened, resulting in a gas shortage in the United States.
Similarly, in a separate attack on May 30, JBS Holdings, the world’s largest meat producer by sales, paid an $11 million ransom to the same gang.
