Folks who have been constantly surfing the interwebs and are into crypto may have already come across Matt Damon’s Crypto.com ad. For the uninitiated, the actor is the latest addition of celebrities who are now promoting the realm of cryptocurrencies.

Sure, we got notable personalities like Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban who have been proponents of crypto as they aggressively promote the industry. As for Matt Damon, he is deemed within the crypto community as a new face in endorsing cryptocurrencies.

Enter Matt Damon

That said, with Jason Bourne (one of Damon’s characters on film) entering the crypto arena, it is an indication that whoever you are, one is very much welcome in investing in these digital assets. Further, one does not need to follow technology nor understand fully how the blockchain works. One doesn’t even have to be that knowledgeable on how to store celebrity nonfungible tokens (NFT) memorabilia for the future.

However, this is not to be mistaken with Damon being somewhat of a Mastercard jumping right in the cryptocurrency bandwagon. This is not what he signed up for with Crypto.com. He’s being paid to tell the public that cryptocurrencies like bitcoin (BTC) are very much on the mainstream as of late that a Hollywood A-lister like him can get on board minus the worries.

In line with this, what Damon is trying to relay here is that cryptocurrencies are safe, secure, and accessible. There’s even that reassuring vibe within him that digital assets/cryptocurrency are something that everyone can be a part of. It’s like he’s giving this signal to all that this (crypto) is not just for the insanely rich and tech sages anymore, but rather mainstream.

Notable people promoting cryptocurrency

The late tech entrepreneur and McAfee antivirus founder John McAfee have enticed early adopters of cryptocurrencies. However, he only piqued the interest of the niche portion of the technical community. As mentioned, Musk and Cuban also did the same and got wider attention within the tech population.

Sports heroes like Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tight End Rob Gronkowski also joined in as individuals like him made sports fans and folks who are not into tech turn their heads towards crypto.

It is without a doubt that cryptocurrencies are here and they’re here to stay. Matt Damon is just saying that one can just go ahead with it. After all, fortune favors the brave.
