Key takeaways

  • Apeiron launches NFT marketplace.
  • Lures new users with airdrop incentives
  • OnePlanet and Apeiron discuss the possibility of a collaboration

The first blockchain-based NFT god game Apeiron is set to launch its marketplace on September 7. According to the press release, users who create an account on the new marketplace would become eligible for "Solar Fragment" airdrops –the first half of the Apeiron Battle Demo Pass.

The Apeiron marketplace supports a tri-token system, allowing players to trade Apeiron Planets at their choice prices. Apart from that, the marketplace's new features increase the game’s functionality by introducing planet breeding and staking.

Apeiron creator Frank Cheng said Apeiron's marketplace launch symbolizes a rebirth of god games. Cheng said:

"The launch of our marketplace marks the beginning of a countdown, a countdown to the rebirth of God Games and the dawn of a new paradigm, where quality innovations begin revealing themselves in web3."

Meanwhile, Foonie Magus, developers of Apeiron, had secured $17 million seed funding in April. Since then, the team has been working on building better infrastructure and features to improve in-game experiences for players.

Apeiron Users Eligible for Exclusive Airdrops

Apeiron players who register on the marketplace between September 7 and September 21 will be able to participate in the project's exclusive airdrop.

Qualified users would get the first half of the Apeiron Battle Demo Pass. As a planet involving different constellations, the first half is the Solar Fragment, while the second half is the Luna Fragment.

Unlike Solar Fragment, users can earn Luna Fragment through engagement in the Apeiron community. Combining both Fragments would create a Battlepass to be used for the upcoming ARPG x card-battle system update.

Apeiron, OnePlanet Hints at Partnership

In a September 6 blog post, Apeiron hinted that it could be partnering with OnePlanet soon.

According to OnePlanet, its partnership with Apeiron could help the blockchain-based game better build its community. OnePlanet revealed that it connects all NFT projects on its platform into a unified community where “builders who are leading the charge of the next-gen of NFT gaming start talking to each other.”

OnePlanet is an NFT marketplace formerly based on the defunct Terra network. The marketplace completed its migration to the Ethereum-based Polygon network on September 6.
