Food delivery companies Uber Eats and DoorDash are now accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment option for their services, according to an announcement from crypto payments provider BitPay.

Pay for Uber Eats and DoorDash Deliveries Via Crypto

Crypto enthusiasts can now indirectly make payments to Uber Eats and DoorDash via initiatives launched by popular cryptocurrency payment provider BitPay. The supported lists of cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), Dai (DAI), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Gemini USD (GUSD), USD Coin (USDC), and Binance USD (BUSD). Although the food delivery companies do not directly accept crypto payments, BitPay noted in a recent blog post that crypto holders can pay for services rendered by Uber Eats and DoorDash using three alternative methods. The first includes choosing to purchase food delivery services' gift cards using the cryptocurrency via the BitPay app, as well as via the BitPay cryptocurrency card, which allows people to spend their digital currency like cash, thus paying for the food delivery service made by Uber Eats and DoorDash. Users can also make payments to the food delivery companies using Takeaway.com or Menufy and can pay directly from their cryptocurrency accounts. Interestingly, BitPay has been one of the frontliners promoting the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency payments. Earlier this week, BitPay announced that Shiba Inu holders can now purchase Apple products, including MacBooks and iPhones, from selected retailers like Newegg.
