Fellow Binancians,
As part of risk control measures under the Portfolio Margin Program, Binance will introduce a new interest charge on users who hold a negative USDT balance in their USDⓈ-M Futures Wallets, starting from 2023-02-27 at 08:00 (UTC).
Please note that this interest charge will only be applied if users’ USDT balance in their USDⓈ-M Futures Wallets falls below the predetermined threshold. The current threshold for the interest charge is set at -200,000 USDT for each USDⓈ-M Futures Wallet.
Users are strongly advised to adjust their trading strategies and USDⓈ-M Futures Wallet balances prior to 2023-02-27 08:00 (UTC) to avoid any unnecessary charges.
Notes:
  • The interest charge will be applied daily, based on the market average interest rate. Please refer to the FAQs for more details on the interest charge calculation and corresponding API endpoints.
  • The interest charge will only apply to negative USDT balances in USDⓈ-M Futures Wallets that fall below the predetermined threshold. Other token assets in USDⓈ-M Futures Wallets, as well as holdings in Margin Wallets and COIN-M Wallets, will not be affected.
  • Binance reserves the right to amend the predetermined threshold and the interest charge at its sole discretion.
  • Where any discrepancy arises between the translated versions and the original English version, the English version shall prevail.
