Unbanked's crypto cards are going live in the UK and European markets
Global fintech company Unbanked has introduced its crypto card program to eligible users in the United Kingdom and select parts of Europe. The move comes as a result of a partnership with Moorwand.
Users who are interested in the program can create an account with Unbanked.com, deposit their crypto and request a card, which will allow them to spend their crypto at merchants where cards are accepted. The platform currently supports 15 different crypto assets, with some examples including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Uniswap, Stellar and the UNBNK token. When the payment is made, the crypto assets are automatically converted to fiat, which is then received by the merchant.
Unbanked co-founder and co-CEO Daniel Gouldman commented on the new crypto card program:
