Cryptocurrency Regulation work Almost Complete: Finance Minister Sitharaman - Yellow Chronicle

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has clarified that the Government of India is not against Cryptocurrency and the government will find ways so that it can help the country’s financial sector.

In a meeting with The Economic Times, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that cryptocurrency is an extremely large potential region where a lot of worldwide improvements is occurring.

The finance minister also cleared that the crypto work was nearly complete and the cabinet had to decide on it now.

FM Sitharaman said, “We cannot be moving ahead as if this does not exist. We are not saying no to cryptocurrency. We are saying we will have to see how this technology can help fintech to maximise the potential it has. But how sophisticated regulation can be is something which I want to work with the RBI.”
