Phantom Wallet Attracted $109 M, Launched iOS App

Solana digital asset wallet Phantom has attracted $109 M in a Series B funding round. Thus, the valuation of the company hit $1.2 bln.

The round was led by investment firm Paradigm. Andreessen Horowitz, Variant Fund, DeFi Alliance, Solana Ventures, also took part in the round.

In a published blog post, the Phantom team announced that it plans to use the funds to onboard more users and developers on Web 3, innovate on multichain user experience, and expand the team. Phantom’s app for iPhone went public today, and the company plans to launch an application for Android in the near future, too.

The wallet went live as a browser extension in July 2021․Now it’s the largest Solana wallet. Phantom allows users to access various Solana-based dapps.

With the latest round Phantom's total funding reached $118 M.

Phantom is non-custodial, which means that the wallet doesn’t require any personal information from users. In 6 months after its launch, Phantom gained over 2 M monthly active users.

In total, Phantom users have staked more than 112.4 M SOL tokens, worth around $10.4 bln. The amount of swapped tokens is above $1 bln and the number of NFT, DeFi and app transactions is over 55 M.
