FTX plans to bring its valuation up to $32B

FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried plans to raise a total of $ 1.5 billion in investments for the global derivatives exchange and the American FTX.US platform.

According to them, a potential round of funding will bring the FTX valuation to $ 32 billion, and subsidiaries in the US - to $ 8 billion.

In October, the exchange closed its Series B-1 funding round for $ 420.69 million, after which its valuation reached $ 25 billion. Participants were 69 investors, including BlackRock, Tiger Global, and Temasek.

The latter also joined the industry's record $ 900 million Series B funding round for the industry in July and raised it to $ 1 billion.

These investments did not apply to the American subsidiary, the newspaper noted.

FTX.US trading volumes jumped 512% in the third quarter. The platform has a 4.5% share of the US spot market.
