Opera, one of the most popular web 2.0 browsers, just unveiled a beta version of a web 3.0 browser, with much more to come.

Opera isn’t new to decentralized finance, or DeFi; in July 2018, it released the world’s first browser-based crypto wallet. The web 3.0 browser is available in a beta version for Windows, Mac OS X, and Android.

What contributions does Opera make to Web 3.0?

The beta version, according to the team’s announcement, will allow users to keep up with the latest blockchain news, participate in upcoming airdrops, follow a dedicated web 3.0 events calendar, visit a non-fungible token (NFT) gallery, join blockchain communities, access educational content, and keep track of live cryptocurrency prices and gas fees.

Also, In addition, the Opera Crypto browser has a non-custodial wallet that supports Ethereum, ERC-20, and ERC-721 tokens. Then, The developers stated that support for ERC-1155 coins will be added in the first quarter of 2022. Users have the option to
“purchase crypto through a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp,”
“swap your crypto directly in your wallet, send and receive,”
“as well as allow you to check your wallet balance and gas fees.”

So, The team adds,
“In setting up the Crypto Browser Project, we are pursuing an inclusive,”
” multichain strategy and embracing as many dApp [decentralized app] and domain name”
“partnerships as possible with the aim of making the use of crypto and Web3 seamless for our users.”

So, Polygon, Solana, Nervos, Celo, Unstoppable Domains, Handshake, and ENS are just a few of Opera’s industry partners. Then, Polygon’s relationship will also be officially disclosed in the first quarter of 2022.
