AltLayer has joined forces with Succinct Labs to introduce OP Succinct, a cutting-edge solution designed to enhance the experience of developers utilizing the Optimism Stack. OP Succinct delivers faster finality, zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, and full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility at no out-of-pocket proving costs, empowering AltLayer’s Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) users. The collaboration also seeks to make ZK integration seamless for developers with minimal hassle.

Bringing Faster Finality and ZK Proofs

OP Succinct offers an upgraded development framework where rollup developers can enjoy quick, cost-effective migration to zero-knowledge rollups. With ZK proofs providing fast finality, developers no longer need to wait for the standard seven-day fraud-proof window that exists with optimistic rollups. Instead, they can expect finality in minutes, transforming applications’ interaction with blockchain data.

In addition, OP Succinct is making ZK integration affordable. Developers deploying on Optimism through OP Succinct will only incur a proving cost of 0.5 cents per transaction, compared to the average 5.4 cents on Optimism. This significant cost reduction and ongoing optimizations are expected to lower costs by up to 10x, making OP Succinct a highly attractive option for developers.

Seamless Rollup Integration: Deploy one contract with Rust support.

Developers will benefit from a seamless migration process with OP Succinct. The transition requires deploying just one smart contract and setting up a simple proposer service, ensuring the rest of the OP Stack remains unchanged. Additionally, OP Succinct’s compatibility with Rust offers unlimited customization options, making it easier for developers to maintain and enhance their roll-up applications.

This partnership aims to drive the adoption of rollups within the Optimism ecosystem by offering a faster, more efficient, and cost-effective solution. AltLayer is committed to bringing these advancements to its RaaS users, ensuring they benefit from OP Succinct’s optimized performance, customizable experience, and streamlined integration process.
