Number of employees receiving a salary in BTC increased by 10% in 2021

A study by recruitment company Deel says there has been a significant increase in the number of people who are paid wholly or partly in cryptocurrencies.

The share of such employees increased last year by about 10%. Moreover, the researchers note that not only actors, athletes, and politicians prefer to switch to bitcoin and other coins.

More and more ordinary employees of companies who express such a desire.

Analysts studied more than 100,000 contracts offered to workers living in 150 countries located in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

52% of Latin American contract holders receive all or part of their salary in cryptocurrencies. 34% of these employees live in Africa and the Middle East, and 7% each in North America and the Asia Pacific.

In 63% of contracts, bitcoin is indicated as a cryptocurrency.

Ethereum (ETH), Dash (DASH), Solana (SOL), and USD Coin (USDC) follow in the ranking. The number of vacancies representing the blockchain industry is also growing rapidly in the world.

In January, LinkedIn published a study stating that the number of such vacancies soared by almost 400% last year.
