Open-source Web3 platform Lisk recently made an announcement regarding the introduction of a new accelerator program. The program, which is intended to provide assistance to anyone who is interested in developing Web3 solutions, will provide grant funding of up to 250,000 CHF ($270K) per project.

The Javascript Software Development Kit (SDK) for Lisk makes it simple for developers to build their own sidechains and Web3 applications that are compatible with Lisk. Its accelerator program will support Web3 innovation while also providing an incentive for the development of Lisk’s technology platform.

The Lisk Accelerator Program is open to startups that are determined to work on Web3 implementations over a period of years and are eligible to apply for the program. In particular, Lisk is eager to support initiatives that are working on blockchain solutions that are tailored specifically for apps.

Lisk is a Web3 application platform that operates on open-source principles and facilitates interoperability with sidechains. Its straightforward JavaScript SDK offers developers an easy entry into launching their own Lisk-compatible blockchains. With the Lisk SDK, developers can create scalable Web3 apps using JavaScript, and each app is accompanied by its own blockchain, which enables virtually limitless customization options.

Helping Web3 Apps Disrupt Other Industries

The Lisk Accelerator Program will be implemented in two phases, and the first round of application submissions is currently being accepted. The first phase will run from March 20 to June 30, 2023, and the second phase will run from September 1 to November 30, 2023.

Lisk CEO Max Kordek said: “Web3 applications can disrupt many industries, from finance to healthcare to supply chain management. They can eliminate intermediaries and enable trustless interactions, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. We believe that entirely new business models can be created. The Lisk Accelerator is our way to find and support those.”

The goal of the Lisk Accelerator Program is to entice seasoned developers and entrepreneurs to participate in the program so that they can develop their ideas further within the Lisk community. Opportunities in mentoring, funding, networking, and promotion will be made available to newly established businesses that are chosen to participate in the program. There are four different levels of funding:

  • Bootstrap Grant: A grant in the amount of 4,000 CHF is available for use toward the development of a proof of concept for companies that have not yet developed one using the Lisk SDK. In light of this, teams will be able to fulfill the requirements necessary to apply for the accelerator program.
  • Builder Grant: There is an allocation of 65,000 CHF available for the development of a Web3 application with the assistance of the ecosystem team at Lisk, access to knowledge bases, the network of pioneers, and tokenomics specialists.
  • Booster Grant: This grant has the potential to award funding in the amount of 85,000 CHF to the recipient once the testnet part has been successfully completed. This funding will include access to support with UX/UI, instruction on how to pitch to investors, and individual guidance.
  • Breakout Grant: Projects that have already launched their app, demonstrated that the product fits the market, and are ready to expand are eligible to apply for the remaining 100,000 CHF in funding that is available to help them move on to the next stage.

The Lisk Accelerator Program is going to provide Web3 developer teams with the funding, mentoring, and support necessary to bring their ideas into execution along with the necessary technical assistance and experience. Projects that bring their product to market will be allowed to keep 100% of the equity, allowing them to take advantage of any potential profits while also contributing to the growth of Lisk’s Web3 ecosystem and helping to spur a surge of innovation.
