  • Startups that are successful in the program will have access to networking, mentoring, funding, and marketing opportunities

Lisk, an open-source Web3 application platform developed for interoperability with sidechains, has launched a new accelerator program for startups. The program will provide grant funding of up to CHF 250,000 ($270,000) to those wishing to develop a blockchain-based Web3 application.

The Lisk Accelerator Program covers startups committed to maintaining Web3 applications over a multi-year timeframe. Lisk supports each application to have its own unlimited customizable blockchain. Using Lisk's JS SDK, developers can create a Lisk-compatible sidechain and release their applications on that chain.

Phases of the Acceleration Program

The program has two separate phases to support developers. Phase 1 will run from March 20 to June 30, while Phase 2 will run from September 1 to November 30.

Funding Stages

The purpose of the Lisk Accelerator Program is to encourage successful entrepreneurs and developers to build within the Lisk ecosystem. Project owners whose applications are approved will also have access to networking, mentoring, funding and marketing opportunities. The four financing stages of the program are as follows:

Bootstrap Grant

There is a CHF 4,000 grant package for startups that have not developed a proof of concept using the Lisk SDK before. This ensures that any project owner can apply for this program.

Builder Grant

The grant that Lisk will allocate to the startup to build a Web3 application with the network of founders, support of the ecosystem team, access to knowledge bases and support of tokenomics experts is CHF 65,000.

Booster Grant

Projects that successfully complete the testnet phase can receive CHF 85,000 funding, including pitching to investors, access to support with UX/UI and one-on-one coaching.

Breakout Grant

Projects that launch their applications, gain market demand, and are ready to scale are eligible to apply for CHF 100,000 funding to exceed a new milestone for growth.

“Web3 applications can disrupt many industries, from finance to healthcare to supply chain management,” said Max Kordek, Lisk CEO. "They can eliminate intermediaries and enable trustless interactions, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. We believe that entirely new business models can be created. The Lisk Accelerator is our way to find and support those."

Startups that want to be included in the ecosystem with Web3 services can benefit from the power of Lisk with this grant program. The project owners will retain 100% of the equity. You can visit Lisk's official website to apply for the program.
