There has been a dispute between two Shiba Inu core members following the launch of Shibarium’s Telegram group.

As reported today, Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama announced the launch of a new Telegram group focused on Shibarium. The group, dubbed All Things Shibarium Shy/ Official, will be an official platform for sharing updates about the upcoming Layer-2 network.

Since going live, the group has attracted the interest of SHIB fans, who have continued to join the platform in their numbers. At press time, over 8.5K SHIB holders joined the group.

Shiba Inu Core Members Fallout

However, there has been a major conflict between Kusama and Shiba Inu’s Discord core staff, ShibaKraken. In a tweet today, ShibaKraken called on the attention of SHIB enthusiasts about Kusama’s attempt to take over the Shiba Inu community.

“Attention ShibArmy. It has come to my attention that Shytoshi Kusama has just attempted a hostile takeover of the SHIB community,” ShibaKraken said.

Attention #ShibArmy. It has come to my attention that @ShytoshiKusama has just attempted a hostile takeover of the SHIB community. Many core members have now been removed from the "new group". I'm not sure what comes next, but I will not be joining Shytoshis new group.

As part of efforts to take over the SHIB community, ShibaKraken claimed that Kusama had removed other core members of the Shiba Inu project. Based on the alleged move by Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shiba Kraken said he would not be joining the Shibarium Telegram group.

“Many core members have now been removed from the ‘new group.’ I’m not sure what comes next, but I will not be joining Shytoshi’s new group,” ShibaKraken added.

Kusama Slams ShibaKraken

Responding to the tweet, Shiba Inu’s lead developer slammed ShibaKraken for being named after the new coronavirus variant, dubbed “Kraken.” Furthermore, Kusama asked ShibaKraken not to join the Shibarium Telegram group, adding that he does not want any “issues” in the group.

@ShibaKraken I see they named that new Covid strain after you. Please stay away I don't want any issues in the Shibarium group. Thanks.

Community’s Reactions

Meanwhile, members of the Shiba Inu community have expressed disappointment over the dispute between ShibaKraken and Kusama. For many, bringing internal rifts to the public will only harm the cryptocurrency’s project, especially now that Shibarium Beta is preparing to go live.

A SHIB enthusiast named Murat Hydin called on ShibaKraken to respect the Shiba Inu “chief developer” and resolve all domestic issues internally.

In response to the comment, ShibaKraken said Kusama is not a developer. He added that Kusama has nothing to do with Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 network.

He's not even a developer. Let this be clear.. SHYTOSHI HAS NOTHING to do with Shibarium. Thats Kaal, Eric and Xfund.
