Acclaimed Grammy-nominated Shontelle has recently launched her momentous House Party blockchain project. The project consists of NFTs and constitutes cooperation between the boutique music label House of Dae, Shontelle, and a tech start-up, Owens.

Shontelle Launches Her Historic House Party NFT Blockchain Project

“House Party” is notable in several ways, particularly provided that Platinum recording artist, Shontelle is among the first Black female musicians to introduce a leading-edge blockchain project. This thoroughgoing process covers the way for fashionable Black women artists to adopt new technology.

In addition to this, it should also be noticed that this has come even before the famous sports stars try to sell their own NFTs.

Shontelle addressed the importance of having control over her brand and said:

“This independent journey and exploration of music, art, and NFTs are as fun as it is challenging, but having control over my own brand has shown me the value of ownership versus having someone else control or represent my interests.”

Announcing her own high-tech collectibles, she added to her statement and said:

“As one of the first Black female entertainers along with Dae, I am issuing my own high-tech collectibles, including a one-off, bespoke single with blockchain verified authenticity.”

The move of introducing her own high-tech collectibles is very timely and it comes after data collection that among the total number of artists in the music industry, only 20% are women. Black women constitute an even lower percentage of the total number of women in the music industry.

Launching of the NFT Project

The product inaugurates as a merchandising that involves two tiers of House Party NFT collectible merchandise, along with the numerous ‘House Party’ NFT offerings such as customized produce, dubplates, artwork, and vinyl.

Well known for her hit records “impossible” and “T-Shirt”, Shontelle was featured on the Barack Obama compilation album with the single “Battle Cry.”

Marking her touring with Beyonce and writing songs for Rihanna, Beenie Man, Bruno Mars, and numerous others, Shontelle is the co-owner of the TRBL production company.

The production company focuses on offering songwriting services for artists in the Soca, Dancehall Worlds, Afrobeats, and Pop.
