Solana node operators were preparing for a “potential restart” of the gears underpinning the Wall Street-focused blockchain Tuesday morning in an attempt to bring the frozen network back online.
The network, which began experiencing “intermittent instability” early Tuesday that brought trading activity to a halt, had yet to fully right itself by press time. A Twitter account affiliated with the foundation that looks after Solana said engineers were “working towards a resolution” that could restore service.
“Resource exhaustion in the network is causing a denial of service,” the account tweeted at 10:26 a.m. ET.
A source familiar with the matter told CoinDesk that the outage “impacts everything built on Solana, but the issue is the underlying [layer 1].”
This is a developing story and will be updated.
