MyEtherWallet (MEW) has announced that it is implementing a Binance Bridge to allow more than 300,000 monthly active users to access Binance Smart Chain right from their mobile phones.

MEW, a nexus point for transacting in the Ethereum ecosystem, provides unprecedented access, a secure wallet, multi-faceted integration possibilities, and comprehensive education that allows anyone to quickly take advantage of all the benefits crypto finance has to offer.

In its announcement, MEW said that its mobile users can now utilize the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Binance Bridge through an integration inside the MEW wallet mobile app for Android. This will allow users to take advantage of the lower fees and new decentralized apps (DApps) being built upon one of the most used multi-chains options – BSC.

The Binance Bridge will reportedly will enable users to move Ethereum funds held in MEW wallet over to Binance Smart Chain, and vice versa. Users will also have the ability to purchase BNB directly from the mobile app, via Simplex.

“More ways to interact with your digital assets is how the Ethereum ecosystem grows,” said Kosala Hemachandra, Founder and CEO of MEW. “For us, although we began as the original wallet interface for Ethereum, we view multi-chain development as an important way to increase accessibility to the rich ecosystem of Ether and DeFi.”

Samy, BSC Eco-system Coordinator, said that providing an easy channel to blockchain and crypto is one of the critical missions for the BSC, as it will minimize the barriers for non-crypto users to participate in fruitful and innovative decentralized Dapps.

“MEW supporting BSC will introduce very user-friendly tools to support cross-chain bridging and access close to thousands of Ethereum and BSC eco-system seamlessly,” said Samy. “We also believe this collaboration will inspire more adoptions and new opportunities on cross chain and multi-chain DeFi Legos.”
